Residential Foster Care

Boys & Girls Haven Residential Foster Care is a Qualified Residential Treatment Program that serves foster care youth from the ages of 11–17. As a Qualified Residential Treatment Program, we meet the highest standards regarding care and treatment for our most vulnerable foster youth.

We provide a holistic approach within our program, knowing each case is unique and each child has unique needs. We prioritize creating a feeling of safety and stability for these children, who have endured a number of complex and adverse experiences before they reach out doors. This is the building block for healing, hope, and stable futures for these children.

We offer an array of therapeutic interventions and services. Knowing trauma affects the whole person developmentally, socially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, we use this lens and offer opportunities for healing in all aspects.

  • Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Other Animal Assisted Therapies
  • Horticulture Therapy
  • Trauma-Focused Music Therapy
  • Occupational and Speech Therapy With our Partners from GreenHill Therapy.
  • Art Therapy
  • Connection-Based Discipline Approaches

Referrals for Residential Foster Care must be made through the Children’s Review Program (CRP). CRP is a program of New Vista which contracts with the Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

One of the big things here is building relationships…so they can heal, and get back to being kids.
